Animal Lovers Pet Salon was established in 1997 by Owner and Head Stylist, CHIP FRANCIS. We are the first dog and cat grooming salon in Lincoln Park, Chicago, to perform pet grooming services in FULL VIEW. We took the art of dog and cat grooming out of the "back of shop" to allow our customers to observe all stages of the process. Bathing, drying and styling can all be seen in our "OPEN VIEW GROOMING SALON". We are also the first to allow owners to be present and participate (if necessary) in their pet's grooming. We do whatever it takes to make you and your pet as comfortable as possible while your dog or cat is being groomed. We make an effort to get to know our clients likes, dislikes and special needs. Our entire team is committed to meeting those needs. The result is a 90% re-booking rate and we receive a very high percentage of customer based referrals. Owner and Lead Groomer
Chip Francis began his grooming career in 1990 in a small shop in Indianapolis as an assistant. It was a perfect fit for his love of animals and artistic skills. His talent flourished he went to work for one of the top poodle dog show handlers (Todd Patterson- Ravendune Kennels) in 1991.
Chip has groomed and competed in hundreds of dog shows including the highly acclaimed Westminster, in New York- 3 times. He has also managed several other successful pet grooming/boarding businesses.
Since those days, he has settled down here in Chicago where he operates his dream, a neighborhood grooming salon on Clybourn Avenue. He has lived here since 1994, and now considers the" Windy City" his home. He is loved and trusted by his clients and the community has embraced him.
